Passkey: What It Is and How to Set It Up
Keeping your account safe is our top priority. That's why we're introducing the passkey, a simpler and safer way to sign in to Bally Bet. No password to type, no code to wait for. Here are the answers players ask about most.
What is a Passkey?
A passkey replaces your typed password with a quick biometric check — depending on your device, such as your face or fingerprint, or your device’s screen lock (pattern or code). It signs you in within seconds and offers stronger protection than a traditional password.
Are Passkeys mandatory?
Passkeys are the fastest and most secure way to sign in to Bally Bet, and we encourage every player to try one. Outside Pennsylvania, they’re optional, but you’ll enjoy quicker logins and stronger protection the moment you set one up. In Pennsylvania, regulatory requirements make them mandatory on our site.
Pennsylvania: Due to regulatory requirements on our site, signing in with a passkey will become the only login option after January 1, 2027.
Can I skip creating a passkey?
For now, yes. While we’re rolling this out, you can skip passkey setup if the option is offered and keep using your current sign-in method. Just a heads-up for our Pennsylvania players: once passkey-only sign-in takes effect, you’ll need a passkey to log in — so it’s worth setting one up when you’re ready.
Why do I keep seeing passkey setup prompts?
Those friendly reminders will keep popping up until a passkey is set up on your account. They’re just there to help you get ready for passkey sign-in and keep your account extra secure. Once you’ve finished setting up your passkey, the prompts will stop.
Do I still need my password?
Yes. For players outside Pennsylvania, we encourage making passkey your go-to way to sign in, and your password stays on your account as a backup — so if you can’t use your passkey, you can sign in with your password.
In Pennsylvania, after January 1, 2027, passkey will be the only way to sign in on our site, so the password backup won’t be available there.
Is it safe? Does Bally Bet see my face or fingerprint?
Yes, it is safe. Your face or fingerprint is never shared with us. The check takes place privately on your own device, and Bally Bet only receives a confirmation that your identity was verified.

- Enter your credentials and log into your Bally Bet account as normal.
- Following 'Log In', you'll be prompted to Enable Passkey for Faster Login.
- Tap "Create Passkey" to continue.

How do I add a passkey later?
No problem if you skipped it during login — you can set up a passkey anytime! Just head to: Menu > Account > Passkey.
You might also spot a “Log in with Biometrics” option, and you may be wondering how it’s different. Here’s the quick version: biometrics uses your face or fingerprint as a handy shortcut to your usual password login, while a passkey goes a step further and replaces the password with a secure key right on your device that your face or fingerprint approves.
How do I sign in with my passkey?
Next time you log in, you'll be prompted to sign in with your passkey automatically. If not, tap "Sign in with Passkey" and confirm your account to continue.

Please note: While only one account per person is permitted in each state, if you hold accounts in more than one state, you'll be prompted to choose the passkey that matches the state account you're signing in to.
My passkey didn't work, what now?
No problem. If your device doesn't recognize you, you can confirm another way — such as your device passcode — and then try your passkey again.
Pennsylvania players: due to regulatory changes, SMS and email can no longer be used to verify your account on our site, and starting January 1, 2027 you’ll sign in with your passkey instead of a password (Face ID, fingerprint, or your device’s screen lock). To make sure you’re ready:
- Turn on biometrics (Face ID or fingerprint) on your device and set it up in the app.
- If your passkey still isn't working, delete and reinstall the app, then re-enroll your biometrics.
- Still stuck? Contact Customer Support.
What if my device doesn’t support biometrics, or biometrics aren’t working?
No worries — depending on your device, you can often use your device PIN, passcode, or pattern instead of Face ID or fingerprint. If passkeys aren’t supported or the biometric check won’t go through, make sure your device software is up to date and you have a secure screen lock turned on. Still stuck? Our Customer Support team is happy to help.
Can I use a passkey on more than one device?
Yes. You can set up a passkey on each device you use and sign in from any of them.
Can I use my account on a shared device?
You can, though we always recommend a personal device when possible. If you’re on a shared device, just double-check you’re signing in to the right account, and make sure other people can’t access your device’s sign-in methods — like your Face ID, fingerprint, PIN, or passcode.
What if I get a new phone, switch devices, or lose my device?
New phone, same type: Your passkey usually transfers automatically if device backup or syncing is turned on. If it isn’t, sign in with your password and create a new passkey on your new phone.
Different type of device: Your passkey won’t carry over to a device that uses a different account (such as a different Apple or Google account) or doesn’t support passkey syncing. Sign in with your email and password, then follow the prompt to create a new passkey.
Lost device: Sign in with your password and create a new passkey on your replacement device.
Pennsylvania players: since password sign-in isn’t available on our site after January 1, 2027, if your passkey doesn’t transfer to your new or replacement device, contact Customer Support — we’ll verify your identity and help you set up a new passkey.
Can Customer Support reset or remove my passkey?
Absolutely. If you lose access to your passkey or can’t sign in, Customer Support can help once we’ve confirmed it’s really you. You may just need to set up a new passkey before getting back into your account.
What happens if I delete my passkey?
If you remove your passkey from your device, you won’t be able to use it to sign in anymore — but that’s an easy fix. Simply sign in using another available method and create a new passkey. And if you can’t get into your account, reach out to Customer Support and we’ll get you sorted.
